The Approach
A wellness program is only as good as the physician behind it.
Most wellness marketing is interchangeable. Cellular, holistic, inside-out. We are going to skip most of it, because the thing that actually distinguishes this program is a person, and her name belongs at the top of the page rather than buried in the reviews.
Dr. Cristina Del Toro leads our Comprehensive Wellness program with a focus on functional, integrative medicine. That means she starts with your bloodwork and your history rather than a treatment she is trying to sell, builds a plan specific to what your labs and your life actually show, and adjusts it over time. Read the patient stories further down this page. They describe a process and measurable changes, not a spa afternoon.
Candidacy
Are You a Candidate?
This program suits some people well and is not right for everyone, and it is worth knowing which you are before you book.
The consultation commits you to nothing. Many patients come simply to understand their bloodwork and their options, and that is a legitimate reason to come in.
This is likely a good fit if:
- You have symptoms with fatigue, weight gain, sleep issues, mood, and/or libido, that you suspect have a physiological cause worth investigating
- You want a physician who starts with testing rather than assumptions
- You are willing to do bloodwork and to follow a plan over time, rather than seeking a single visit
- You are a surgical or aesthetic patient who wants to optimize your health around a procedure
- You want ongoing partnership rather than a one-off treatment
The Rationale
Why a Plastic Surgery Practice Runs a Wellness Program
The practical reason
Patients in good health heal better and get better surgical results. That is well established, and it is the practical reason a surgical practice invests in wellness. Optimizing your hormones, your weight, your nutrition, and your recovery gives any procedure a better foundation, and gives you a better life around it whether or not you ever have surgery.
What we do not claim
We are careful about what we claim. This program is designed to support your health and complement your care. It is not a cure for anything, and any provider who promises you that is one to be wary of. It also does not replace your primary or specialist physicians, and if you have a condition that needs their management, keep them in the loop.
The Consultation
What Your First Visit Looks Like
Your first visit is a 60-minute sit-down with our physician. Not fifteen minutes. Not a nurse and a form. An actual hour with a doctor, to discuss your concerns, your genetic predispositions, and your lifestyle.
We review any existing bloodwork you bring and order any new bloodwork and imaging your assessment calls for.
Then we build a Wellness Plan specific to you, which may include hormone or weight optimization, peptides, infusions, supplements, and lifestyle changes. And you are under no obligation to proceed. Our consultation does not require any commitment to treatment, and that is a real policy, not a formality.
Choosing
Hormones or Peptides: Which Comes First?
Hormone Optimization
Usually first
- Addresses hormone changes that affect energy, mood, libido, sleep, and body composition.
- Right when fatigue, sleep, mood, libido, or body composition are changing and nobody has tested why.
- Frequently the answer people came in calling something else.
- Prescribed and monitored, with repeat labs.
Peptide Therapy
Targeted
- Targeted protocols.
- Right when bloodwork has been done and a targeted protocol is warranted.
- Usually a second conversation rather than a first one.
- Compounded and prescribed off-label.
Those are the two most often confused, and there are four other services in the program. Medical weight loss is physician-supervised weight management, including modern medications where appropriate. IV therapy delivers vitamins and nutrients intravenously. NAD+ infusion is a separate infusion protocol. And the wellness consultation itself is where all of them start. Most patients who ask us about peptides have not had their hormones tested. That is usually where we begin.
Ongoing
Ongoing Support, Specifically
Functional medicine is defined by the loop of test, treat, retest, and adjust, and describing that loop concretely is far more persuasive than the word ongoing.
The Program
What We Offer and Where to Start
Our wellness program is a set of services that work together. Here is each one and what it is for. Your consultation determines which of them actually belong in your plan.
Wellness Consultation
The 60-minute physician sit-down and bloodwork review where your plan begins. Everyone starts here.
Hormone Optimization
Addressing hormone changes that affect energy, mood, libido, sleep, and body composition.
Medical Weight Loss
Physician-supervised weight management, including modern medications where appropriate.
Peptide Therapy
Targeted peptide protocols.
IV Therapy
Intravenous vitamin and nutrient infusions.
NAD+ Infusion
NAD+ infusion therapy.
Most people arrive with a symptom rather than a service in mind. Persistent fatigue, low energy, or brain fog is often a hormone and bloodwork conversation first. Weight you cannot shift despite doing the right things is usually medical weight loss, frequently alongside a hormone assessment. Low libido, mood changes, poor sleep, or the sense that something shifted with age is hormone optimization. Wanting to recover better from surgery means a plan built around your procedure and timeline. And general optimization with no single complaint means the full consultation and panel first. Notice that nearly every path starts in the same place. That is deliberate. We do not sell you a peptide or an infusion off a menu. We look first.

FAQ
Wellness FAQs
What wellness services do you offer?
Wellness consultations and follow-ups, hormone optimization and replacement therapy, medical weight loss, peptide therapy, IV infusions, and NAD+ infusion therapy. Your consultation determines which of these belong in your plan. See the links above to read about each.
Where do I start?
With the consultation. It is a 60-minute sit-down with our physician, a review of your history and bloodwork, and a plan built specifically for you. Nearly every path through this program starts there, because your labs decide the specifics.
Who leads the program?
Dr. Cristina Del Toro, with a focus on functional, integrative medicine. She starts from testing rather than a fixed menu of treatments.
Do I have to commit to treatment to have a consultation?
No. The consultation commits you to nothing. Many patients come simply to understand their bloodwork and their options.
Is this a replacement for my regular doctor?
No. This program complements the care you receive from your primary and specialist physicians. It does not replace it, and if you have a condition that needs their management, keep them in the loop.
Can wellness help me prepare for or recover from surgery?
Yes, and it is one reason a surgical practice offers it. Patients in good health tend to heal better and achieve better surgical outcomes. We can build a plan around your procedure and your timeline.
Will I get a prescription at my first visit?
Not before your results are in. Your first visit is for listening and testing: a 60-minute conversation about your concerns, history, and lifestyle, plus a review of any bloodwork you bring and an order for anything new your assessment calls for. Your plan, and anything it includes, comes from those results.
Can I start with peptides or IV therapy?
Every path starts with the consultation, because your labs decide the specifics. Most patients who ask about peptides haven’t had their hormones tested, and that’s usually where we begin. If a targeted protocol or an infusion is warranted, it becomes part of your plan from there rather than being picked off a menu.
Do I have to be a surgery patient?
No. Patients in good health do heal better and get better surgical results, which is why a surgical practice offers this program. But the same foundation of hormones, weight, nutrition, and recovery supports a better life whether or not you ever have surgery.
What should I bring to my consultation?
Any recent bloodwork you already have. We’ll review it so you don’t repeat testing unnecessarily, and order anything new your assessment calls for. Beyond that, come ready to talk about your concerns, any health conditions that run in your family, and your lifestyle, because that’s what the hour is for.
Start with an hour, a physician, and your actual bloodwork.
Book a wellness consultation. It is a 60-minute sit-down with our physician, it commits you to nothing, and it is where your plan begins.
