WHAT SETS HER APART
A decade in the emergency room teaches a physician to see the whole patient quickly and clearly. Dr. Del Toro Badessa brings that same rigor and steadiness to wellness — pairing emergency medicine's evidence-based discipline with a proactive, root-cause approach to health.
Her focus is functional and longevity medicine: treating the underlying drivers of how we feel and age rather than only their symptoms. It’s an interest that began long before her wellness training — during her undergraduate years studying exercise science and the biology of aging — and it shapes how she cares for patients today, with nutrition and fitness treated as medicine.

ABOUT DR. DEL TORO BADESSA
Medicine for the Whole Person
Dr. Cristina Del Toro Badessa, MD, is a board-certified emergency medicine physician with ten years of ER experience. She completed her undergraduate degree, medical school, and MBA at the University of Miami, and her residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital of Columbia and Cornell Universities.
Her path into wellness has deep roots. Her passion for nutrition and fitness as medicine — and for longevity — began during her undergraduate years studying exercise science and the biology of aging, and she was formally introduced to Functional Medicine in 2011. That foundation now anchors her work in proactive, root-cause care.
Today, she is trained in peptide therapy and bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, and works with IV infusion treatments as part of a broader wellness approach. She is thrilled to bring her knowledge and expert level of care to the Artisan Beauté community.

SPECIAL FOCUS
Functional & Longevity Medicine
Root-Cause, Proactive Care
Dr. Del Toro Badessa was formally introduced to Functional Medicine in 2011, but her interest in nutrition and fitness as medicine began roughly fifteen years ago, during her undergraduate studies in exercise science and the biology of aging. That long-standing focus shapes her practice today: looking past symptoms to the underlying drivers of health, and helping patients build wellbeing proactively rather than reactively.
