A facelift is designed to smooth sagging skin on your face and neck, tighten the underlying tissues, remove excess fatty tissue, and refine your neckline. The incisions are hidden within your hair and in the natural creases of your skin. We thoughtfully lift and smooth tissues to refresh and rejuvenate your facial appearance and make you appear younger, but maintain a very natural appearance. A facelift focuses on the mid-to-lower face and neck, but can easily be combined with eyelid lift for more comprehensive rejuvenation.
We believe the most natural-appearing results come from choosing a combination of modalities to restore youth. By using non-surgical, injectable, and laser rejuvenation techniques in conjunction with surgery, we can take a more subtle approach in the operating room. This holistic process provides you with results that are much more beautiful and natural.
Am I Too Young or Too Old For a Facelift?
Most of our Atlanta facelift patients are in their late 40s to early 70s. However, your age is not the main thing we consider when determining if a facelift will benefit you. More important are your personal concerns, goals and expectations with surgery, as well as how much sagging and loose skin you have in your cheeks, jowls, and neck. Additionally, a facelift is typically the most effective option to treat loss of definition in the lower face and neck, significant visible jowling, or loose skin under the chin.
If you are just starting to notice jowling and skin laxity on your face and neck, our minimally invasive Artisan lift may be an excellent solution to take a few years off your appearance and even postpone the need for a full facelift.
Facelift Recovery
Temporary discomfort, swelling, bruising, and numbness are common for a few weeks after a facelift. In general, swelling and bruising begin to resolve within the first week, and you will be able to start wearing makeup—most patients feel comfortable going out in public to run errands at this point.

I look so refreshed, and the best part is I still look like me and no one is aware I’ve had surgery. I so appreciate your talent and skill.see more patient reviews
You should be back to your normal routine within two to three weeks. More strenuous activity, including lifting, bending and straining, are typically off-limits for the first 2 to 4 weeks. Scars may appear bright pink for a few months, but these be concealed with makeup until they have faded. Although you will look great much sooner, we recommend patients schedule a facelift at least 8 to 12 weeks before a special event so you can enjoy the day without any restrictions.
